Adobe Production Studio Premium allows you to import, edit, organize, apply effects to, and score your video. It even lets you deliver content to film, video, DVD, Blu-ray Disc, the web, and mobile devices. At least that's the claim on Adobe's website. Trying to figure out how to use Adobe's hundreds if not thousands of different options and possibilities can be daunting.
Total Training has developed a training DVD that overviews in some depth the products involved in the Suite, and gives enlightening real-life experienced tips and tricks. The hosts, Jason Levine and Bob Donlon have professional backgrounds in audio and graphics design. They do an excellent job of over viewing the main features of each program, but obviously because of time restraints cannot go into deep depth. For example, they spend a grand total of an hour and a half gong over After Effects.
By the time you end up finishing the daunting 15 hours of these training DVDs, you will have an excellent grasp of what everything is capable of doing, and how to do the basics, but you may find yourself feeling lost when presented with a real-life task.
We took off points for a large amount of 'fluff' in the talking, the format of the DVD-R, and the amount of information taught.
Again, if you are looking for something to help you with real-life situations, we suggest you try one of Total Training's other, more focused products, such as After Effects CS3: Essentials, hosted by Ko Maruyama.
